The absolute audiovisual stunner, even better than 3D for my Bruckner's Ninth Symphony (visual version in Re minor), would be the so-called Barco Escape, a multi-screen film format similar to Cinerama, introduced by Barco NV in 2015. The format combines Barco technologies such as Auro 11.1 and multi-projection to create a panoramic experience. The technology can compete with IMAX and Dolby Cinema.
All film scenes must be filmed synchronously with multiple (RED Epic Dragon) cameras, which supply three separate screen panels including the panoramic shots.
I am now convinced that if BRUCKNER'S monumental NINTH SYMPHONY is to be performed in a contemporary style, then only the very best will do.
I owe that to Bruckner's Ninth Symphony.
